Post Natal Stretch Marks.

OK, so you want to remove stretch marks? The first question might be to ask why? The removal of the stretch marks, which are surely a sign of accomplishment!
Having a baby is one of the most joyful events in any woman’s life. Seeing that new life, bringing into the world this new and beautiful small person and knowing that they are a part of you! There are many things that come with having a baby, including an increase in your feeling of pride and a desire to be the best possible mom, ever. Another of these outward signs unfortunately are ‘stretch marks’.

For the majority of women who complete their pregnancy, they emerge afterwards with these unsightly marks on the bottom of their tummy. These are the outward manifestations of their efforts, and indeed shows their “battle scars”.

Stretch marks are a poignant symbol of mother-hood and although they are well worth the end result, in the production of a beloved child, they are not something so pleasant to look at and most women wish they would quickly disappear.  Unfortunately although you can’t actually wave a magic wand and wish them away, you certainly can do something about these stretch marks. You must especially remember that you are certainly not the first woman to have this skin problem and there is no way that you will be the last.

What causes the Stretch Marks?

Stretch marks are the result of the skin being stretched and pulled.  This can occur in simply just ‘overweight people’, as well as pregnant mothers, or new mothers. There can be damage to the second layer of skin can also be pulled and the severity of these stretch marks will vary depending on how far the skin was pulled, and how good is the original condition of the mother’s skin.

Once the skin recovers and goes back to where it was originally, either through having a baby, or because of weight loss. Those marks become more noticeable and process of causing them to fade them becomes a difficult goal to achieve.

How can I reduce stretch marks after having a baby!

There are a number of different methods which you can approach when it comes to beating stretch marks.  You may consider purchasing one of the many kinds of creams or lotions developed specifically to combat the effects, of stretch marks to a mother’s skin. The purpose of these remedies are to, by regular application, what most of these it to cause these stretch marks to fade enough so that they won’t be as noticeable, and eventually can disappear. The important thing is that application of creams and lotions should hasten the repair to the skin.

The stretch marks appear as a pink to red color hue when they first develop.  This is when they’ll be probably most noticeable.  They will in fact naturally fade over a period of time, even without the use of creams or skin care lotions.  So you should consider the cost of the treatment, which actually simply speeds up the natural processes that nature will take anyway.

A rather effective and inexpensive cream, ‘Cocoa butter’, is reported as having very good results to helping to remove stretch marks in the area of diminishing their appearance.
You simply apply the cream twice a day to help reduce and ultimately remove stretch marks so that in time they will fade away completely.
The reason is that the unction contains added moisture to benefit the skin, so helping it in its healing action.

Prevention is sometime better than Cure!

If you are pregnant it’s well worth nothing that using cocoa butter through the duration of your pregnancy will actually help in reducing the number of stretch marks, following the birth.  So in this way a bit of preventative action will greatly ease the effects later on.
